Suspension & handling

Suspensions are used to provide a smooth and calm ride by absorbing all the bumps and jolts. It also has good-quality shocks 41 mm inverted front fork with 5.1 inches of travel, and a single shock with 5.4 inches of travel. 

Front and rear suspensions are compression, rebound, and adjustable preload so that you can adjust them according to the weight and nature of the ride.

Despite being thinner, this Bike is stiffer thanks to its controlled-filled die-cast aluminum chassis, resulting in entirely different handling characteristics. Although it has a low seat height, but you will feel much more comfortable and relaxed in it. In addition to rotating the bars (9mm forward and 4mm upwards), you can also move the pegs up and backward by 14mm and 4mm, respectively. 

Furthermore, its throttle is light, and the quick-shifter works smoothly. The cruise control also functions well at motorway speeds, which is another advantage for a naked bike. So overall, it is a good machine offering a comfortable ride.

I’ve had my XSR900 for just over 2 years, I commute 100kms (62miles) a day, 5 days a week. Currently at 36k kms (22k miles) and have had zero problems. My commute is twisties, highways and the city. It kicks ass everywhere. I do my own maintenance except valves (coming up) because I just don’t have the time. I traded up (down?) from a thruxton r when I started this job, and I can’t say I regret it. Maybe some days😁 Been riding 20years and this is the most reliable bike I’ve owned. My colleague has a 2016 with 60k kms and he agrees. Don’t think about it. Just do it. If you’re asking, you’ve already decided 😛

Edit: I forgot to mention, I do oil every 5k, tires every 10k, and sprockets and chain every 20k. People think that’s excessive but I don’t really have to think about anything.
